Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the myDynasty mobile application ("the app", "myDynasty") for Android, published on Google Play. By installing or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. About the app

myDynasty is a private, on-device family tree and family memory app. It lets you build a visual family tree, attach photos and documents, record biographies, map places and burial sites, and import or export your data. The app works locally on your device: it does not require an account, and it does not upload your family data to any cloud server operated by us.

2. Your data and your responsibility

• You own the information you enter. It is stored on your device.
• You are responsible for the content you add and for having an appropriate basis or consent to record information about other people — especially living relatives — in line with applicable law.
• Because data is stored on your device, you are responsible for keeping your own backups. You can export your tree at any time to GEDCOM, LRV, SVG or PNG.
• If you share an exported file with others, you are responsible for how and with whom you share it.

3. Free tier and Premium subscription

The app offers a free tier (1 family tree, 1 gallery, up to 50 people and 25 archive files, with maps, photos, GPS and basic export included).

Premium (mydynasty_premium_monthly) is an optional auto-renewing subscription:

• Price: EUR 4.99 per month. Google Play applies localized pricing in other markets.
• Billing: handled by Google Play, charged to your Google account.
• Renewal: renews automatically each month until cancelled. There is no free trial.
• Cancellation: cancel anytime in Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; afterwards the account reverts to the Free tier. Existing data is preserved and remains viewable and exportable; Premium-only actions are blocked until you re-subscribe.
• Refunds: handled by Google Play under its standard policy.
• No app account: Premium is tied to the Google account on your device, not to an account in the app. We do not receive your email.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not use the app for unlawful purposes or to infringe the rights of others.
• Do not attempt to misuse, disrupt or reverse engineer the app beyond what applicable law expressly permits.

5. Third-party services

The app uses Google Maps SDK (only when you open the map) and Google Play Billing (only if you subscribe to Premium). These services are operated by Google under its own terms and privacy policy. The app contains no third-party analytics, crash reporters or advertising SDKs. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. No professional advice

Optional personal or medical notes you may store are for your personal record-keeping only. They are not medical, legal or professional advice.

7. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet every expectation.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data. Because your data is stored on your device, keeping your own exported backups is your responsibility.

9. Changes

The app and these Terms may be updated over time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law and provider

The app is provided by Roman Lobko, an individual based in Ukraine. These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
